Integrated Urban Water Management Modelling: Challenges and DevelopmentsA one Day Workshop, was held on Monday 3rd April 2006, Melbourne, Australia Hosted by eWater CRC in conjunction with the International Working Group on Data and Models Workshop OverviewIntegrated urban water management requires new modelling techniques and approaches, posing both technical and practical challenges. The objective of the workshop was to provide a forum to explore the challenges and dilemmas which are emerging due to the movement to integrated urban water management modelling. Discussion during the day long workshop was divided into four themes: data issues, uncertainty, spatial and temporal resolution and scale, and model and system integration. Each of the nine workshop presenters had prepared a short paper and presentation on one of the above themes, briefly outlining their thoughts on our current state of knowledge and the technical challenges at hand.
