The Institute

Vision

The Institute for Sustainable Water Resources is a centre of excellence, for research, teaching and postgraduate training, in the sustainable management of water resources, with a focus on urban sustainability. We have a national and international standing, a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach. We will make a significant contribution to the sustainability of urban areas.

Objectives

Our main objectives are to:

  1. Conduct world-class research aimed at sustaining water resources,
  2. Produce high quality postgraduate scholars,
  3. Deliver high quality teaching in sustainable water resource management,
  4. Collaborate with other water researchers, including, eWater, Water Studies Centre, and UNESCO - IHP
